The locking lid urn is a solution for when you would like to keep your loved one cremains secure without the use of epoxy for a permanent seal. Some of my customers have asked me for this option because they would like to share or disperse the cremains at a later date.

This urn is intended for keeping a smaller portion of cremains, or for a pet weighing up to 30 lbs. It is also perfect as a memory jar to hold love notes, jewelry, or some special remembrance of your loved one.

Many hours go into creating this urn… after it is made at the potters wheel it is then trimmed and carved to create the the footed base, and rim. The floral vine pattern is painted on the dry clay with a resist. The clay is then rubbed away with a wet sponge, leaving the resist pattern raised above the rest of the surface. It is then fired twice to attain the final outcome.

It measures. 6."H x 4.5”W and will hold up to 30 cubic inches **.

** One cubic inch = One pound of live weight.
