This urn is intended as a keepsake urn for keeping a smaller portion of cremains, or for a pet weighing up to 15 lbs. It is also perfect as a memory jar to hold love notes, jewelry, or some special remembrance of your loved one.

This carved pure white urn is simple yet elegant.

Many hours go into creating this urn… after it is made at the potters wheel it is then trimmed and carved to create the the footed base, and rim. The vine/flower pattern is painted on the dry clay with a resist. The clay is then rubbed away with a wet sponge, leaving the resist pattern raised above the rest of the surface. It is then fired in the kiln for 9 hours to harden. I then glaze it with a clear glaze so the white clay shines through. The final step is to fire it again in the kiln for 15 hours which allows the glaze to reach it's melting point.

All of my pottery is handmade, one piece at a time. All sizes are approximate, meaning they may vary slightly in size... maybe 1/4-1/2"
