The Blue Floral Urn is an elegant urn for your special loved one. The light blue to dark blue variations to this glaze is a stunning contrast of color.

Many hours go into creating this urn… after it is made at the potters wheel it is then trimmed and carved to create the the footed base, and rim. After the urn has been fired once to harden it is ready to be glazed. This particular urn has two layers of glaze. The lighter blue is applied first, then I paint the floral pattern using a wax resist. The second layer of darker blue glaze is then applied, the dark blue glaze resists (does not stick) wherever the wax pattern is.
