The Blue Galaxy Individual urn is a full size, large, individual urn, intended for your loved one's cremains.

The Blue Galaxy urn is approximately 9” x 9” x 9” and will hold up to 220 cubic inches. **

The Blue Galaxy urn is named so because of the glaze which reminds me of galaxies, and infinite universes. The glaze has many beautiful shades of blue.

Shown here are different variations of how this glaze can look. Glazes vary in each kiln firing. These are all handmade on the potter's wheel. Shapes and sizes may vary slightly... my human touch is what make these special.

After the urn is trimmed on the wheel, it is set out to dry for a week. It is then fired in the kiln for 9 hours to harden. I then glaze it with different layers of glaze to achieve the variations you see. This particular urn includes a layering of up to five different layers to achieve the galaxy effect. The final step is to fire it again in the kiln for 15 hours which allows the glaze to reach it's melting point. This glaze varies slightly with each kiln firing.

Urns are made in four sizes, individual size, medium size, small size and keepsake. Please check the shop for other sizes available.

All of my pottery is handmade, one piece at a time. All sizes are approximate, meaning they may vary slightly in size… maybe 1/4-1/2″.

You may seal the lid with a hardware grade epoxy.
